Animation for the fashion World

A contracted job I did back in 2011. This was before my experience with Toon Boom. It was all hand drawn and it was all done in a bit over a week.

Ernie and Slab Studying (teaser)

A little teaser for a fan made George Liquor cartoon based on a John Kricfalusi layout at http://johnkstuff.blogspot.com/. All rights goes to John Kricfalusi.

I am am working on my original characters now, also busy on a pre production of a video game, I am not finishing this up any time soon. It was a great learning tool, it forces you to meet standards. John himself recommended to animate existing characters. They are designed with functionality by experienced professionals. Efficient structure is the main lesson to learn. I copied hundreds of frames from good old days cartoons, but I decided to animate something I could actually work on. However, it does feel like I am wearing someone's clothing. I will definitely finish it, I hate not finishing stuff.

George Liquor Learns Evolution

The idea was to make a full gag out of a single Layout. Jim's Drawing is a gag itself, so I am only counting John's. One thing I never understood was people licking fingers before flipping pages and handling money. It freaks me out. I thought it could be something George would do.

Help John Kricfalusi make real cartoons again!

Growing up in Brazil I was blessed with the best cartoons ever made. The Brazilian television wanting to save up money would not buy the 70's and 80's crapy cartoons and instead they would use the old cartoons from the 30's and 40's. We only had the really popular shows from the 80's like He-Man, Thundercats... besides that, it was all old cartoons, old Disney stuff, Bugs Bunny, Woody Woodpecker, early Hana Barbera, it was all I would watch. I want to make good cartoons again, and there is only one man capable to "Kickstart" that, John Kricfalusi.

"Cans Without Labels" (John's project) could be the renaissance of animated cartoons. If this gets made, it may lead to an entire movement and cartoonists will make cartoons again. Help John save my carer choice, so I can get a job doing what I love. Be a PRODUCER of George Liquor's cartoon can's without labels.

John Kricfalusi Storyboard Audition pt1

So... this time I focused more on the characters, and try my best at "continuity". I am having a blast working with these characters. I feel like little by little I am learning how to draw them more "on model". I see you at Taafi! Thanks

A Gag to John Kricfalusi

Here is my gag for John K's workshop. I can wait for my first trip to Canada and my first class with the legend John Kricfalusi. I have learned more from your blog than all year of University. I wish I was paying him, not my student loans. Thank you for the great opportunity John!
